Maverick Hutchinsons

Hutchinsons that do not bear embossed city, state, province, or country names are referred to as "maverick" bottles.  During the process of gathering data for the Hutchinson Bottle Directory, we have confirmed the origin of 500+ maverick bottles.  All identified maverick Hutchinsons have been assigned to their correct city/state/province/country in the master database.  The following maverick Hutchinson bottles remain unidentified.   Please EMail us if you can provide information about any of them:

  1. A. T. G. - embossed near base, amber, private mould

  2. B G Co - near base, aqua, private mold; possibly a maker's mark, rather than bottler/bottling company initials?

  3. J. M. CAMP - aqua, 7.00" x 2.25" with private mould, blank back, X (large) on base, round base

  4. C.C.C.C. (on base) - green aqua, 6.625" x 2.500" with blank back, larger lettering on base, round base, dug in TX.

  5. C.C.C.C. (on base) - blue aqua, 6.625" x 2.500" with blank back, smaller lettering on base, round base, dug in St. Louis. 

  6. CITY / BOTTLING / WORKS / REGISTERED - round, watermelon-shaped plate

  7. CITY BOTTLING WORKS / PENNA. / REGISTERED (near base) - clear, round plate, 218 N on base, possibly from Allentown, PA?

  8. CURRIER'S / ROOT BEER - aqua, 6.75" x 2.375" with horseshoe plate, blank back, 36C on base, round base; New Hampshire?

  9. CURRIER'S / SARSAPARILLA - aqua, 6.75" x 2.375" with horseshoe plate, blank back, C. 36. / 3. on base, round base; New Hampshire?

  10. G. DOTSON - aqua, 6.5" x 2.5" with round plate, I. G. CO. 11 '03 on back, blank base; Maryland?

  11. (eagle / wreath) in round (oval) plate - aqua, 6.750" x 2.500" with blank back and base, round base; found in Savannah, GA

  12. E & CO. - aqua, round plate, I.G.CO.222 on back, round base; Durand or Mondovi, WI?

  13. FLORENE - round plate
